Hi ,
My VSS server is on windows.I installed sourceoff to be able to connect to vss erver running on windows.I can not connect .
Is sourcesafe meant to connect to VSS server or is it only from sourcesafe client to source safe server.I am new .please let me know

SourceOffSite is a client-server application. You need both the SOS Client and SOS Server.

The SOS Server must be installed on the same machine or same LAN as the VSS database. The SOS Server communicates with the database through the SourceSafe automation component, provided by installing a VSS client on the SOS Server machine.

After you install the SOS Server, you can connect to the SOS Server with an SOS Client on Linux.
