From the client, the root /$. is changed to something else, and all files in the project cannot be seen from the client, only the folders are shown.
I reinstall the client. But it is not helpful.

The first thing you will want to try is clearing the SOS cache. More information on that here: http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=1059
As far as only seeing folders, you may not have access to that database. That would be set by the VSS admin.
If clearing the cache doesn't work, then your admin will need to get involved here too if you aren't the admin.
