Exception 2100

Every time my user tries to download 1 of 3 particular files, none of which are large or have any unusual characteristics, he gets an Exception 2100.

This is a clean install, first .net 3.0 SDK, then SQL Server Express with Advanced components, then IIS, then Vault.

What version of Vault Client is the user using?

Is this a new problem? Did this work before, or has it never worked?

Let's try to isolate the problem to see if it's related to a specific file, user, machine, or network location:

Can the user do the Get with the Vault GUI Client (same machine, same user) to a non-working directory?

Do Gets with fail on any other folder/files, or just this particular file?

If the user tries the get from a different machine does it work?

Does it work if the user logs in as a different user on his client machine?

Can the user get file on the Vault Server machine itself, using "localhost" for the Vault server name?

Same version as the server.
Worked before, but didn't work on this new install on a new machine.
Worked for him after he rebooted. Haven't heard any complaints since then.
Get latest consistently failed on 3 particular files out of several hundred. They have no unusual characteristics that I can see. The other files work.
Don't know about get to a non-working directory.
It worked from my machine and always has.
Don't know about different user.
Don't know about localhost - user doesn't have access to the server machine anyway.

If it happens again I will have him check those other scenarios.
