Hi,
I have a developer that is using VB6 and he wants to record comments while that file is checked out, but before it is checked back in. That way, if he isn't finished with something before going home, he can note where he is and continue the next morning. He doesn't want to have to check something in to use the comments. I have seen this feature at work in VS2005, but I'm not sure how to do the same in VB6.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Laurie

I couldn't find a way to add comments when checking out from Visual Basic. However you might be able to use this workaround:
Check out files from within Visual Basic. At the end of the day, if files are still checked out, open the Vault GUI Client and select the pending change tab. The checkouts will be listed in the pending change set. Right click on an item and select "Edit Item Comment." You will be able to add a comment there.
