Suggestion: purge old copies

I already wrote about this once, but I think it woule be really nice if I could open History Explorer, query the history, then select multiple items, and delete them.

While keeping historical copies is good idea and that's Vault is for, still, in many cases it would make no sense to keep the files, say, 50 releases ago, dated 2002... while the size of the database is already so many megs...

We've had requests for the ability to delete historical versions, and I'll add your vote. We may be able to provide this functionality in an archive/restore function. But I'll add that you'd like to be able to delete from History Explorer.

...so I could, for example, keep the very first historical version, then delete 30 versions, then keep one more important version, then delete more intermediate...

Curious, is there progress in that direction?

The archive/restore function you mentioned - is it something that is planned?

Vault 3.5 has an Export\Import tool that allows you to archive and restore a folder. However, the entire history is exported or imported. We still have a feature request logged to export\import only a certain number of versions. We don't have timeframe for implementation as yet.
