Licencing, now and in the future.

Post by Grubsnik » Mon Oct 02, 2006 7:00 am

Hi there,

I'm trying to convince my boss we should be getting Vault for our development team. But i'm having a little problem figuring out the actual price.

The team:
We are 3 developers, though that might increase later. I don't expect that we will need more than a single vault-server.

So my questions are:
  • Do we need 1, 3 or ? licenses?
  • Will these be valid for future version when those go live?
  • When will they expire, if ever?

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in Vault! In regards to your licensing questions, if you have 3 developers then you will need a 3-user Vault license key. The Vault Server is included with the price displayed on our web page. The license keys never expire but I should probably mention that if we have a major upgrade, your license keys will need converted to the new release. In order to convert these license keys, you have to have Gold Support. You can purchase Vault two ways:

1. With Gold Support which allows you to obtain all major upgrades and access to our Gold Support forum.

Pricing information with Gold Support:

2. Without Gold Support, you will still receive support but Gold Support members have priority and you don't receive major upgrade releases.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thanks,
