How to view a database which is archived

In my organization one of the database of SOS(classic) is archived is there any way by which i can see the information saved in there or atleast if i could see the structure of the database and also is there any way by which i can search for a particular file in SOS.

Are you talking about an archive done through VSS or some other sort of back-up? SOS works through VSS, so the database is actually VSS not SOS.
You'll have to use "ssrestor.exe" or Visual SourceSafe's GUI tool to view the archive, I think, or restore it.
