Modifying checkin form and adding metadata to entries in db

Post by gkn » Tue Aug 29, 2006 7:44 pm

We have a requirement to categorise all checkins of source code (eg Non secure, Highly Protected, etc), and were wondering if there is any way of adding metadata to the db entries, and if so, can the checkin form (within Visual Studio) be modified/replaced in such a way that it forces the user to make a selection of this metadata?

This feature is not yet available, but I can add a feature request for you if you want.

Beth,
I've messaged you with a request for customisation if possible (not sure if this is available).

Thanks,
Chris

I replied to your private message. You can feel free to send emails to beth at sourcegear.com in relation to this.

In response:
The "main" checkin dialog is a part of Visual Studio, not Vault. There is no way it can be overridden by Vault. What would you propose in lieu of this?
