STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open .sln file in vs2005
- Vault does a GET
2. Make small change & save all files.
3. Close solution.
- get a Vault "Check in" form that lists all files and option to check in.
4. Click "Check in" button and I get the same "Check in" form. No matter how many times I click "Check in" I keep getting the same form.
WHAT HAPPENED JUST BEFORE THIS PROBLEM
1. I got some message yesterday about a merge issue and that I could (I think) do the checkin (or out?) but that I should resolve the merge.) I thought I resolved the merge OK and it seemed to be working (checkin/out) OK.
2. Today I was testing RENAMING the root folder that the .sln file is in. I renamed it, opened the .sln and then closed it and renamed the folder back to the original name.
Using VS 2005 (VB.net)
Vault client is version 3.1.8.3771
Vault server is version 3.1.8.3771
If this is a bug in Vault which is fixed in the 3.5 version, I'm happy to upgrade, otherwise, I'd like to get this resolved and then do the upgrade to avoid comlicating this problem.

Fixed it with a "Get latest version"
I did a "get latest version" ( I THINK that's what it was.) and that resolved it.
I'd love an explanation of what happened, if you have any idea.
