Problem with Vault SourceGear and Component One

Post by Kau » Fri Aug 25, 2006 2:27 pm

Hello,

I am working with Visual Studio 2005, ASP .NET 2.0, C# 2.0, Source Gear Vault Version 3.1.9 (3798) and Component One (http://www.componentone.com/). I have added a reference to C1.Web.C1Flash.2.dll so far so good. But, when another programmer gets lastest version (recursive) or uses "File, Source Control, Open from Source Control..." from Visual Studio in his Bin folder only appears C1.Web.C1Flash.2.dll.refresh instead of C1.Web.C1Flash.2.dll.

I don´t know why. How can I resolve this problem?

Thanks,
Kau

Thanks,

Kau.

We have the same issues, but with even more symptoms:

1. License key file keeps getting disturbed, i.e. nuked, and we keep having to renter it.

2. We have this issue with the WebGrid, WebReport and WebCommand components from the ComponentOne Enterprise Studio for .NET 2.0 (purchased two weeks ago)

In addition, there is no way (seemingly) to have Vault exclude the VS.2005 Web project Bin directory from the source tree, which would likely address some to most of the issue.

We have a development team of 3 and this issue is taking significant time to keep correcting.

For Kau:

When adding a reference, VS will not add the .DLL to the source code
repository. Instead, VS wants you to put this on a network resource,
and use the .refresh file.

See if this helps:

For dzouak:
1. License key file keeps getting disturbed, i.e. nuked, and we keep having to renter it.
Could you describe this in more detail? When you look in the Admin Tool, the license number is gone? What version of Vault are you using? Are you sure you're entering a Vault serial number for the version you are using, and not a Gold Support license, for instance?

When the license appears to be "nuked," look in the sgvault database for tbllicensekeys -- are there licenses listed there?
2. We have this issue with the WebGrid, WebReport and WebCommand components from the ComponentOne Enterprise Studio for .NET 2.0 (purchased two weeks ago)
We don't provide any specific support for Vault with ComponentOne Enterprise Studio, but perhaps we can offer some suggestions if you describe the specific problems you are encountering.
In addition, there is no way (seemingly) to have Vault exclude the VS.2005 Web project Bin directory from the source tree, which would likely address some to most of the issue.
This is a VS 2005 issue, which Vault does not have much control over. Here is a link to some possible workarounds:

Sorry, I may have misunderstood your license key question. Are you referring to the .licx file?
