You already have the file checked out.

I have a folder in which all the files are checked in. If I try to check them out it fails and I get the message"You already have the file checked out." The property page of each file shows a status of "Not Checked Out".

If I go to another user's computer Vault shows the files as checked out to me.

I'm stuck because I can't check them in or out.

Any ideas?

Thanks

What version of Vault are you using, and is it integrated with Visual Studio? If you are using Visual Studio, your server binding might not be connected.

Are you able to work with any other source controlled projects? It might be a case of where your client-side cache is out of sync. I just need more information first.

I'm using SourceGear Vault Client Version 3.0.7 (2863).

All my other folders working ok. I can add addtional files to the problem folder and they work ok as well.

Thanks

You can go into the Admin tool and undo the check out from the Undo Check-Out tab. That should free it up from there and allow you to work normally again.
