Can you set a default exclusive lock for resource files?

Does anyone know if it is possible to set vault in such a way that files such as Resource.h, or any file with the extension ".rc", receive an exclusive lock by default when checked out, while all other file types should still be defaulted to a shared lock? If so, how do you set that up?

If Vault thinks a file is binary, then the file will be checked out exclusively, even if multiple checkouts are allowed.

If you want a file to be considered binary, check the list of Mergeable file extensions in the Vault Admin Tool->Repository Options->File Types. If the file extension is listed there, delete it.
