Can't upgrade to 3.5 - invalid serial number, which it's not

Post by M Wickardt » Mon Jul 24, 2006 3:39 am

Hi Vault Support,

I already sent you an e-mail about this, with the 3.1 serial numbers you gave me a week back.

When I try to upgrade my serial numbers at https://store.sourcegear.com/sgstore/va ... grade.aspx , I get:
Error: There are problems with some of the serial numbers you entered:
<all of them>
Plz help us out :)

Best Regards, M Wickardt

N.B. just saw a previous thread on this topic: http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=6456 . Could it be that the same problem returned?

I was getting this error from the upgrade page and decided to upgrade the software to 3.5 (using the downloads page) anyway and it appears that our 3.1 serial we just bought works in it without issue.

Thanks for your reply. I just found out myself ;)

The 3.1 serial seems to be working fine in 3.5.

For anyone reading this thread -- Vault 3.1 serial numbers do not work in Vault 3.5.

However, users who purchased Vault licenses in the last few weeks were actually issued Vault 3.5 serial numbers, since those purchases qualify for a free upgrade. Vault 3.5 serial numbers also work with Vault 3.1.x. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

If you're not sure what version your license is, we have a handy serial number decoder on our SourceGear Store site:
