checkin succesfull, but not apperaing on other machine

Post by jwfransen » Tue Jun 13, 2006 3:52 pm

Hi all,

Running vs2005 Web application projects with 3.1.8. I have a strange problem:

At work i do some work and check in my work. Everything looks fine. When i get home and get my work . there doens't seem to be any changes. (I 've configured vs that he gets everything when i get the project).

When i do a manual get latest version .. some files are ok. But other still don't have the correct information.

Worse when i look in the history the filel doesn't seem to be changed in th efirst place. (so some files are ok in the manual run other are not ok at all). I;m not running offline or anything.

I've never had these kind of troubles with vs2003, but know with vs2005 it starts getting REALLY annoying.

Do you have any ideas .. what this could be .. or how it could be fixed.

I just moved to 3.1.9, but well have to be in the office to see the result.

thanks,

check in ok, but repository not updated

I'm having the same problem with 3.1.7. I'm planning on upgrading to 3.1.9 soon.

As a work-around, I configured the vault client to email me whenever any changes were made. It's a pain in the neck, but it gives me something to verify that the repository was updated. It's helped me catch a couple cases where I updated and checked in 5 files, expected 5 files listed in the email, but only 4 were listed. 1 of the files I checked in didn't get put into Vault. No errors on the server or the client.

Have you found a resolution?
