Duplicate repositories showing up

Post by sethb » Thu Jun 29, 2006 10:40 am

We are using vault 2.0.4.

When we open the vault client or through VS 2003, we are seeing two vault repositories (we should only have 1). They both have the same name, and files/folder count.

Everything is the same, but the revision number is higher on one of the repositories.

Any idea what's causing this?

.NET 2.0 problem

I'll answer my own question, since we figured out the problem.

It looks like the problem we were having was someone switched our vault website from using .NET 1.1 to using .net 2.0. This started the duplicate repository problem as well as broke the shadow copy.

To fix the problem, we restored our database, and switched the IIS site to .NET 1.1 again.

Glad you figure it out. :)

This was an issue because Vault 2.x is an old release and not supported on the 2.0 Framework.
