Accessing VaultWeb

Hi

When I try to access VaultWeb (i.e. through the link in the generated change notification email) I'm prompted with a login page, but valid credentials do not authenticate. Do these have to be setup separately?

I can access the webservice at http://RemoteServer/VaultService/vaultservice.asmx

I've tried my logon and the admin logon; both fail.

What error message do you get?

Is there anything the Vault Server log (sgvault.log in %windir%\temp\
sgvault) that corresponds to the failed login?

The page just displays Login Failed

Checked the log:

I tried changing the authentication mode in web.config from 'None' to 'Windows' and 'Forms' but got excatly the same result.

Could you post a copy of the link here (sensitive info replaced by xxx's).

Can you connect to that link from another machine?

Can you connect from the Vault server machine using
http://localhost/VaultService/VaultWeb/login.aspx ?

I've just lgged onto the local machine and tried the link http://localhost/vaultservice/vaultweb/login.aspx

I can access the login page but no matter what username and password I supply, it doesn't let me log in.

Check your Vault server log to see if the attempted login is even hitting the server.

Also check IIS logs to see if there are 500 errors associated with the failed login attempt.
