Feature Request?: Scheduled Email notification of changes

Post by mitch.wheat » Sun Jun 18, 2006 11:16 pm

Hi

I would like to be able to email a notification of all changes (by project) to a project manager. Is this possible without having to write my own?

Regards,
Mitch Wheat

Vault supports email notification -- if you're "watching" a project, you'll receive an email whenever files/subprojects are modified (add, edit, delete, etc).

If this is not what you need, could you describe what you would like in more detail?

A slight variation would be to send emails in batches instead of every time a file changes. The process would work as follows: I watch a repositiory - hourly (or some schedule I create) Vault sends me one email with a list of off changes to the repository that have taken place since the last email. Having the ability to temporarily disable notifications such as when going on vacation would be a nice bonus....ok, who am I kidding - geeks never take vacations :)

We do have a feature request logged for this; I'll add your "vote."
