How do I add info to a Label

Post by btd » Fri Jun 16, 2006 8:14 am

We recently deployed an application to production. We used Nant as the build process. As it stands right now, the version in vault is labeled like this 1.1.xxxx where xxxx is just a number that gets incremented daily.

Now two weeks later we have 12 more builds in Vault (one for each nihgt).

Mgmt. wants to go back in and add text to existing label so we all know that this build 1.1.xxxx was the build that went to production?

Is this possible? If so, can you explain how to do this?

Thanks

Actually, I'm looking for a way to change the existing comment field.

This isn't available in the current release, but has been implemented in Vault 3.5, due out in a few weeks.

We do something similar, we just rename the label from "Autolabel 1.1.xxxx" to "Product 1.1.xxxx", so it stands out in the view labels dialog or the version history of a file.
