Detect new files *and* folders

Please, please, please, please...

I manage a bunch of web projects, many of which have subfolders that are being added during development.

I am constantly forgetting about folders that I created locally and the "Detect new files" feature ignores them.

Sourcesafe didn't use to do this. I could just add recursively and it would work, adding any new files and folders it ran across.

Why is this so hard in Vault?

Vault 3.5, due out in a few weeks, will have the option to show files and folders that are not under source control as "ghosted" items.
