Remove Projects From Vault Completely

Post by imacumpewter » Thu Jun 01, 2006 1:33 pm

Version 3.1.5

When our vault was originally installed and repositories were created, the developer doing the work didn't really know what he was doing. So long story short I have a new server and I'd like to remove all our projects from the vault and eventually do a clean install on this new server.

How can I remove the projects from the vault such that I'll be able to open/modify them w/o the vault?

Once I have all the projects out of the vault and I know that I have working copies I'm going to re-install the vault onto my new server.

Open the project in Visual Studio (it will connect to the Vault Server). Then choose File->Source Control->Change Source Control. In the Change Source Control dialog, click "Unbind." This will remove the source control bindings from your project.
