Folder tree refresh? disable it??

Can you stop the folder tree refresh in VSS?

When you click a folder and it refreshes the file list can this be disabled as the folder has 1000 files in and slows SOS down.

File list refresh cannot be disabled. The first time you click on a project, it will take some time to refresh the file list, especially if there are a thousand files. The next time you click on the project during the same session this should be much faster, though, as the file list information is cached for the session.

Therefore if I am asked to restart SOS the cache is lost could this be why it takes so long?!

Yes, in a new session the file list needs to be re-fetched from the SOS Server/VSS database.

Is it possible to restructure this project so that there are more subprojects with files distributed throughout, rather than one project with a thousand files?
