Is it possible to specify that some files types are binary?

Hi,

In VSS 6.0, there's a way to override VSS's automatic detection of text and binary files, so that you can specify that certain files types are always binary (Tools > Options; File types > Binary files text box).

Is there a similar option in SOS?

Thanks,
Nelly

Not in the SOS Client. But you might be able to get the behavior you want by modifying this option in the VSS Client on the SOS Server machine. The SOS Server uses the automation component provided by the VSS Client to communicate with the VSS database. To the VSS database, the SOS Server is just another VSS database. Settings in this VSS client affect the behavior of SOS.
