I'm a newbie to Source Control.
How would I GET or Roll Back the entire solution to a certain version #?
BACKGROUND
I'm working alone for the moment and don't do any Branching, etc. I'm using Vault basically as a really sophisticated "undo".
So, I'm just using simple features.
I'd like to be able to take the whole Solution (in vs.net 2005) back to a certain version # or or a certain label.
I've read the pertinent sections (History, etc.) of the Vault User guide, but I'm confused: the Help and Guide don't seem to match teh UI for the History Explorer.
Specifically, I don't see the options below:
There are two main ways to query on folders:
· View by item – Select View by item to view the Version List. The Version List displays the Name of the file or folder, User, Date, Version Number, Action and any Comments
· View by version – Select View by version to view the Folder Versions screen. The Folder Versions shows all versions of the TOP folder in a list. Each version of a folder corresponds to a change set that changed some part of the folder or its descendants. This dialog box lists the versions and allows you view the change set that caused the folder to increment its version number.
The History Explorer's View menu lists only Rerfresh and Act Recursively.
FYI, I'm on Vault 3.1.8.

If you invoke history, the History Query Filter/Sort dialog is initially displayed (unless it has been turned off, in which case, go to Tools->Options->Command Dialogs to turn it back on). In that dialog, there are two radio buttons corresponding to viewing history by item or version.
You will want to view by version, and then just go down the list and find the version that corresponds to the date you want and do a Get Tree (one of the buttons on the side).

Those radio buttons are grayed out.
I never noticed them before b/c they are REALLY grayed out.
