Overdue Checkout?

Post by mshe » Sun Apr 16, 2006 2:23 pm

This may have been asked by other users... but is there a feature to handle overdue checkouts?

There are a couple developers at our company that likes to check out a bunch of files... and they don't check them back in.

Is there a feature to remind a user to check a file back in if it has been checked out for greater than X hours (or days, etc)?

Thanks.

Vault doesn't have this feature -- I can log a feature request.

The Vault Admin can undo checkouts with the Admin Tool, if files need to be unlocked. But of course, this isn't the same as having a user checkin their changes.

Thanks, yes I would like the developer to check in the code... in case there are any changes.

It would be nice to "prod" the developer to check in the code... especially in larger projects, you might not even realize that you've left some files checked out!

It's a minor feature... but thought it might be useful to have. Thanks for logging the feature request.
