I just installed SoS 4.1.2 and am trying to rebind my local source safe project through visual studio .net 2003 to our HQ source safe database. I unbound all of my projects and when I try to bind them to the appropriate project folder through SoS I get "Unspecified Error" popup in a message dialog. Everything up to this point seems to work fine. I can log in and I can browse the project folders.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Scott

Ok, it seems the problem is you can't bind a project to an empty folder in VSS through SoS like you can in developer studio via VSS. You need to add in at least the project files to the project folder in VSS before you can bind to it. This is actually kind of a pain if you have a very large project with lots of sub projects/folders and you are trying to rebind to just top level projects to let developer studio create the large hierarchy of folders when you check in for the first time.
