Detecting New Files to Add

Post by dsidlinger » Thu Mar 30, 2006 8:47 am

I am not sure if what I am seeing is a bug, but I am having issues when using the "Detect New Files to Add..." command.

We are using Vault without Visual Studio integration. When a new directory or file is added in my local working folder, I use the "Detect New Files to Add..." command to get the new content into Vault. Unfortunately, the command fails to pick up new directories and the files they contain. New files in directories that Vault "knows about" are detected and added.

Is there any way to have Vault detect the new directories? At this point, I'm forced to either maintain a list of directories I've added or do a directory diff to get them in the repository.

I thought Eric was Mr. No VS integration. ;)

There's not a way to do this yet, but we've gotten a number of requests for it. I'll add your vote.
