I want to upgrade from 3.1.2.3511 to the current version, but whenever I attempt to run a backup, either from within SQL2000 Enterprise Manager, or from within Vault, it ends up hanging the server, with no error messages I can find. There are tons of diskspace. This is running on SQL2003 on a dual 2.4ghz Zeon with 2GB of RAM.
The entire machine hangs; a hardware reset is required.
Other than that, it works like a charm: we're incredibly pleased with its speed.
Any ideas appreciated.
SQL Backup Hangs Server

If it hangs when using SQL Server backup directly, then there may be an issue with SQL Server. The backup from the Vault Admin tool just evokes SQL Server's simple backup.
Can you back up a different database? Is backup failing only for sgvault? Were you able to backup the database in the past?
Is there anything in the Windows Event view or SQL Server logs that might provide some clues?
What version and service pack of SQL Server are you using?
