Problem With Active Directory Authentication across Domains

Post by Vista_SG » Thu Mar 23, 2006 4:27 am

Hi,

I am running version 3.1.8. In our environment we have 2 domains. People on both domains will be using Vault.

The Server is joined to domain A.
Under 'server options' I have specified the AD Domain.
Users in this domain can log on to the Vault Client using their Domain username & password.

Problem is that we have a domain B.
I can add them to vault and select 'authenticate using AD' in the 'Users' Tab. However they can not log into the Client.
The work around for the moment is to uncheck 'authenticate using AD' and then change the password for the user.

Is it possible to setup AD Authentication for both Domains.?
I have seen the Identity switcher util being mentioned but not sure if this is what I need?

Any advice is greatly apprecitated.

Vault Active Directory authentication currently cannot authenticate to multiple domains. We have a feature request logged for this; I've added your vote.
