The company I work for uses VSS for Source Control, and I was thinking about installing a Source Control product at home for personal projects.
I found Vault, and the UI looks very similar to VSS. Also, a free version is available for single user install. Finally, AxoSoft offers a SCM Ingegration with vault. This has me very interested in Vault.
However, the Requirements page state that IIS is required to install Vault. Is this true? I only want access to vault on my home network, and I don't need the web interface. Can I install Vault without IIS and use it just in a client/server mode without the web features?
IIS Requirement

To use Vault, there are two components. A Vault Server and one of the many Vault clients.
The Vault Server is a .Net Web Service based service - all of Vault's services to access the repository are exposed through IIS. So IIS is a requirement for the Server (and the client cannot operate without the server).
In a single user environment this will require IIS in Windows XP or IIS for one of the Windows Server based operating Systems.
