Users Disabled by Import

Post by dsidlinger » Thu Mar 16, 2006 9:37 pm

First, I want to say that the first (of many) project import went very smoothly. The product is awesome.

We did experience one (very minor) snag. During the import, 2 additional users were found in the VSS database. I'm pretty sure I handled the wizard steps correctly. I understand that the users should be added as non-active users by the import process. However, the users that were already found in Vault were also marked inactive.

This didn't cause too much grief, but I thought you guys might want to take a look. We were/are running version 3.1.8 of everything and had rolled VSS back to 6.0c.

Thanks,
David

I could use some clarification.
However, the users that were already found in Vault were also marked inactive.
Are you saying that the two VSS users and all the existing Vault users were marked as inactive? Or were Vault users with the same names as the two VSS users marked as inactive?

Linda,

Prior to the import we had the admin account and two active user accounts. Both of those user accounts were found in the VSS database. Additionally, there were two users found in the VSS database that had not been added to Vault.

After the import, all four user accounts had been disabled. The appearance is that all of the users found in the VSS database are disabled, if any of them need to be disabled. Unfortunately, I am swamped right now and don't have the time to try another import to nail down the behavior.

Thanks,
David
