SOS 3.5.3 through firewall

Hi, I'm trying to get a evaluation copy of SOS 3.5.3 running. No problem when connecting to the server on the network. But if I try to connect from the outside through our firewall, the client app says it cannot establish a connection to the server. The log looks as follows:

Fri Apr 02 14:33:26 GMT+02:00 2004 - 196.31.69.5 (196.31.69.5) - Connection Established
Fri Apr 02 14:33:26 GMT+02:00 2004 - 196.31.69.5 (196.31.69.5) - Connection reset by peer
Fri Apr 02 14:33:27 GMT+02:00 2004 - 196.31.69.5 (196.31.69.5) - User "null" disconnected

Any ideas?
