Evaluating Autodesk 3ds Max 8 - having problem with Vault

All,

3ds Max 8 has an asset management system that claims to support any VSS style source control system. The UI in 3ds sees the Vault repository, correctly displays files - but elicits a Vault error when I try to check in or add files: "SCCAdd Method: Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

Vault has not been tested with 3ds Max 8. We've found that although applications use the same integration .dll the sequence of calls may vary, etc., so some modification may need to be done to the source control app to get integration to work.

At the present time, Vault only supports integration with Visual Studio 2005, VS.NET 2003, VB 6 and Visual C++.
