SQL Server 2005 Plug-in

Post by tmatkey » Fri Feb 24, 2006 9:23 am

I know that Vault supports the use of SQL Server 2005 as a repositiory for VS, but can I use Vault for source control of SQL Server 2005 stored procedures?

There is an option to add source control to SQL 05 by going to Tools > Options > Source Control in Management Studio. It asks you to select a source control plug-in, but the only option that shows up is "None". Is it possible to use Vault for source control of SQL 05?

Thanks,

Tony

You can put stored procedures in Vault -- they are handled like any other file -- but we haven't tested Vault with SQL Management Studio. Vault currently only supports integration with VB 6, VC++, VS.NET 2003, VS 2005, and Dreamweaver.

It turns out I just needed to reboot after the Vault installation. So far, source control of SQL Management Studio is working well. Thanks.
