Comments at checkout

Hi,

Since we are using some exclusive locks when checkouts are performed, we would like to comment on ckeckout operations as a way to communicate why a file has been checked out and how it is being manipulated. The problem is there is no option on the Tools | Options | File List Columns to add the field Comments to the main view in the Vault Client software. Is there any way to add this information to this view along with Checkouts, Status, and so on?

Right now, the only way to view those comments is on a file by file basis, taking a look at its properties and in the comments box, but this is so tedious when you have several developers with several checked out files, and you want to have an idea what they are working on.

Any suggestions?

Adding a checkout comment column to the file list is a good idea. I'll add it as a feature request.
