Upgrade failing (cannot find spchangepassword; error 1280)

Post by Dunc » Mon Feb 13, 2006 4:41 am

I'm tryed to upgrade to the latest version of Vault, and I'm getting an error:

Grant database access to sgvaultuser...OK
Could not find stored procedure 'spchangepassword'.
Vault Setup is exiting due to a failure or cancellation. Error Code = -1280

I now can't access the previous version, so I'm kinda stuck here!

How can I fix / work around this?

It seems that somehow the stored procs and functions are no longer on the database, though the tables are all there.

I'd really like to keep all my source control; is there some way to rebuild the stored procedures and functions?

Do you have a backup of your database? If so, I'd suggest uninstalling Vault, restoring the good copy of the database and then reinstalling Vault. Make sure you're logged in with Admin privileges when you run the installer.
