Can anyone help with this?
I am setting up a 4.1.2 Server, when I browse for a DB I find the one I want and add it. All ok.
But when I start the service it dies, and when I look in the log I see that the entry has too many slashes.
I tried adding the DB without any, but then it complains the DB doesn't exist.
Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong or need to do?
Example snippet from the log file:
/9/2006 9:27:41 AM - Number of licenses configured: 10
2/9/2006 9:27:41 AM - Invalid SourceSafe Initialization file
2/9/2006 9:27:41 AM - \\\\fa4pub5\\rubadub$\\xxx\\Databases\\Controllers\\900xyz\\srcsafe.ini does not exist!
2/9/2006 9:27:41 AM - Invalid or no databases to support.
2/9/2006 9:27:41 AM - Error starting up server. Stopping now....
too many slashes (\\\\) when connecting to a DB using a UNC

The SOS log does add extra slashes, but that's not the problem. Generally, the problem is that the account used by the SOS Server service doesn't have access to the database location.
