Access denied attempting to launch a DCOM Server using Defau

I keep getting this error in the log
Event Type: Error
Event Source: DCOM
Event Category: None
Event ID: 10003
User: machine_name\ASPNET
Computer: CGH103
Description:
Access denied attempting to launch a DCOM Server using DefaultLaunchPermssion.

That sends me to a knowledge base article.

I understand that this will fix it but I am unable to discover what courses it and is desirable or undesirable to fix it.

Are you seeing this in the System log of the Vault Server machine?
It looks likes there's a problem with the ASPNET account, but I'm not sure how this relates to Vault.

We could use more information. Did this start after you installed Vault? Are you getting errors when you use Vault?

What version of Vault do you have and what operating system is it installed on?

I am having the same problem and yes it is occuring in the System log of the Vault server machine. A new instance of this error occurs whenever a user logs into the Vault Client Tool. Any additional input into the problem would be great. Thank you.

This appears to be an IIS-related issue, fixed with the suggestions in this Microsoft KB article:

I don't think that Vault is causing the problem, but since Vault uses IIS, the IIS problem is becoming evident when using Vault.
