Unable to Connect... because SO uses wrong server address

Post by nick_m » Wed Feb 01, 2006 5:09 pm

I'm using SO client version 4.1.2.

All was working fine, but I tried a different Server address once (don't ask why) when I was connecting to the server. The old, working server address was just an IP address (e.g., 194.168.1.112). I tried to connect using a server address with a folder at the end (e.g., 194.168.1.112\abc\) and was unable to connect. Now when I try to connect using the correct server (194.168.1.112) I get the error "Unable to connect to 194.168.1.112\abc\:8080. (I am using port 8080). Somewhere SO has stored the incorrect server address (194.168.1.112\abc\) and insists on using it even when I enter the server address (correctly) as 194.168.1.112.

Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Thanks.

The connection information for SOS is stored in the registry under SOS client settings. You need to clear out your last server list and connection list from within Registry Editor and the problem should no longer exist.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SourceOffSite\SourceOffSite\Settings
