connection error

Post by morph7 » Fri Jan 27, 2006 5:03 pm

We are attempting to move the vault server from one machine to another.
I have successfully copied and attached the sql db but can not connect to vault on the server. Anyone know what the heck this means?

Thanks!

Unable to connect to http://!@#^^#$%/VaultService. No server was found at the specified URL. Please verify your network settings using the Options dialog under the Tools menu in the Vault GUI Client. Web Exception: Client found response content type of 'text/html; charset=utf-8', but expected 'text/xml'.
The request failed with the error message:

Did you first move the database and then install Vault on the new machine? If not, uninstall Vault, keeping the database, then reinstall Vault.

Yes SQL and database were installed and connected before vault install.
Anybody else?

Can you connect to the Vault server from the server machine itself, using "localhost" for the server name?

What happens when you connect via a web browser to http://localhost/Vaultservice/Vaultservice.asmx?
