client compatiblility

Hello,

I am currently running SourceoffSite 2.0 on an old server.

I would like to purchase a new Sourceoffsite licesese for a new server but still keep the old sourceoffsite license (I don't want to move legacy systems that I seldom use to the new version).

will the current client work with both sourceoffsite server?

We haven't supported 2.x for a while, so we haven't tested a 2.x client with SOS 4.x. It might connect and do gets and checkouts, but we recommend always using matching clients and servers.

You should be able to install an SOS 4.1.2 client on the same machine. Rename the 2.x client directory, then install 4.1.2.
