Feature request-cache clearing

Post by jsynoski » Wed Jan 18, 2006 9:51 am

It seems that the resolution to many of the problems reported is to clear the cache files and do a Get Latest Version.

I've redirected my cache files to a different directory on my disk and the structure that has resulted is as follows:

Code: Select all

VaultCache
    Vault_1
        Client

If I had to erase my cache I don't know where to start.

FEATURE REQUEST: Please add a menu item to the GUI to clear the cache entries for whatever is the currently active directory or file.

Thanks for pointing this out. Those of us in Tech Support are always telling users to delete their client-side cache files to resolve a problem. But if you connect to multiple repositories, it's impossible to tell which GUID represents the one you want. I recently logged a request to show the repository name along with the GUID. Right now you'd have to look in the database to determine which GUID is which repository.

I'll add your "vote" to that feature.

While identifying the GUIDs would be handy... I would still prefer a way to do the clearing from the GUI Client itself.

OK, I'll log that, too.
