Vault is slow with VS.Net 2005

Vault is slow with VS.Net 2005
I have just upgrade a few projects to VS.Net 2005 and have noticed that the projects open up much slower now. Actually most source control actions take longer with Vs.Net 2005.
I branched my 2003 version so I can compare the performance sise by side. Vs.net 2003 takes about 25 seconds to open up the whole solution. Vs.Net 2005 is over a minute.
Has anybody else experienced these performance problems?

Performance issues from within VS 2005 are hard to determine based on users having various network configurations. From my own personal experience, VS.Net 2003 does appear to be quicker then VS 2005.
I performed my own tests and then re-evaluated the same test scenarios using VSS as my primary source code provider with the same slower performance results.
We will research more into this problem and determine if there is anything that we can possibly do at our end to help speed the process up.
Thanks,

Yes, I was able to reproduce the slow down using VS 2005 compared to using VS.Net 2003. However, I was also able to reproduce the slowness using Microsoft's Visual SoureSafe version control software. Since the slowness occurs in both products, this is probably completely related to VS 2005 and we may not be able to do anything to increase the performance.

We upgraded our VS2003 projects to VS2005 and these projects open up very slowly. When you work remotely over VPN it becomes a real problem. Every time you open a project in VS2005, Vault downloads about 6-7Mb of data. Looks like it's the size of our repository structure.
Tonya, could you please research this problem because we spend too much time waiting for downloads?

I find that Vault is sluggish in general even without using Visual Studio -- but someone here said it is due to my video card (which is bizarre, as different machines use different video cards, so why SourceGear Vault has problems with all the video cards we have, and no other application has those problems, I have no idea).
What report do you have about video cards and Vault performance? To be honest, I've never heard of such a correlation.
Usually, Vault performace can be affected by things like active anti-virus scanners, not performing maintenance on the SQL Server database, and fragmented hard drives.

Perry had reported problems with the client display and I mentioned some things to check. A problem with a video card wouldn't affect speed of performance, but might affect the display itself.
