Choose Repository Dialog

Post by roman » Mon Jan 09, 2006 1:32 pm

We have 3 repositoriet on our Vault server. After upgrading server and client to build 3.1.5 every time a user launches Visual Studio project, the "Choose Repository" dialog pops up. A user always has to select repository and click on OK button, even though the profile has a setting to always use a specific repository. It is very annoying, and goes on for 3 weeks already (since the upgrade).

One more hint: today we found one machine that did not have this problem. It ran build 3.1.1. After upgrading to 3.1.5 the problem started to happen on that machine as well. Also, installing 3.1.6 client did not fix the problem.

:( :( :?

What version of Visual Studio are you using? VS.NET or VS 2005?

Were these profiles set up prior to the upgrade?

If you create a new profile, does it work properly?

I am using VS.NET. I just tried to create a new profile, and have the same problem.

Is there any other information that can help you to find the cause of the problem?

We've tried to reproduce this in-house and can't. Would it be possible to create a small project where this is reproducible and send it to us? You can email Linda at sourcegear.com
