Hi,
I was renaming some source folders and one of them has just vanished. It doesn't appear in the deleted items and I can't search for items in it.
Any ideas about how to get it back / figure out what happened?

The first thing to try is delete your client-side cache files:

Be sure to close any open clients on your machine before you do this.

Linda,
That didn't work. We can't see the folder on any system. Or in the admin console.

Try invoking history on the parent folder and see what history think happened. Also, if you have branches in your tree that are the same except for a top level folder name, is it possible the action was applied to some other branch?

The history doesn't show anything. I've tried searching for a file that should be there but it doesn't appear.
Is there some SQL query I can run to see if the information is still in the database or not? I suspect it's been orphaned.

So, if you do a recursive query from the root node against a filename in that folder, nothing shows up? (note you have to check the recursive checkbox in the Search pane for a recursive search).

Looked recursively for a file called BlockExecutor.cs from the root.
It appears only once.
The branched version is shown in the result list. However the original is not displayed….

What version of Vault are you using?
We may need access to your database.
Could you email Linda at SourceGear.com so we can make arrangements.

Hi Linda
We are using version 3.1.3.
I have sent you an email about contacting us for further information, or if you need the database.
