Solution with Multiple Sub Projects

Post by mshe » Tue Nov 29, 2005 4:22 pm

Hi all,

This is a probably a read-the-manual type question, but I have a solution with multiple projects (ASP.NET + DLL projects) - should I place the entire solution into 1 repository, or should I use multiple repositories?

Does Vault + VS.NET support access to multiple repositories?

Thanks!

The Vault Client only connects to one repository at a time, and all the files/folders for a particular solution should be placed in the same repository. IDE integration doesn't work properly if projects for a solution are in multiple repositories.

We probably have over 100 projects in a single repository. We are just now starting to look at having other repositories.

I'm just curious of how big some other peoples repositories are? How many projects/solutions are stored within a single repository.
Vault Client Version: 3.1.2.3511
.Net Framework Version: 1.1.4322.2300
