SourceOffSite Classic is my default SCC system. However, I want to use it from within a proprietary development environment.
What I'd like to be able to do is fire-off sos.exe pointing at a specific SourceSafe database, and autoimatically get it to open a particular folder in that database. [All other operations would then be performed interactive by the development user]
Unfortunately, sos.exe doesn't seem to accept any sort of command-line (unless I've missed something), and the command-line client is the other extreme (i.e. no UI at all)
Command-line control for SourceOffSite Classic

If I understand your question, you'd like an automated way to launch and login to the SOS GUI Client.
You're right, there's no way to do this from the command line client.
SOS 4.0 does streamline the login process, however. With the new SOS 4.0 client you can save your server connection information plus your VSS login/password and database info. You can't specify a particular folder to open, though SOS will take you to the last folder that was opened before the client was closed.
