Can we copy a repository to create a new repository

Post by Sourav » Wed Oct 12, 2005 10:06 am

We have one vault repository that we created by importing multiple VSS databases. Now we need to make a copy of that repository to create another Vault repository. After copy we need to delete some of the folders but the starting point of the two repositories are same.

I cannot find a way to copy a repository. After searching in the forum it seems like Vault does not support "Copy Repository" yet.

Will Vault provide this feature in future release?

Is there a workaround to copy a repository in Vault version 3.1.1?

There really isn't a workaround for making a copy of a repository.

We are working on an archive/restore function for our next release of Vault, but we don't have a timeframe as yet.
