Cannot Undo checkout

Some of our files were checked out before an upgrade to 3.12 from 2.06. Most were able to be checked in without issue however 2 of the files. Specifically the .sln and the .vssscc file can not be checked in. I have also tried to do an undo checkout and that would not work either. Funny thing is that when I do a search for checked out files the files are not returned in the result set. When I look into the pending change set they do exist there. I try to commit the pending changeset and nothing happens.

Any help in the matter is appreciated.

It's possible the files aren't checked out, but there is incorrect information in your client-side cache files.

You can look in the Undo Checkout tab of the Vault Admin Tool to see if the files are actually checked out. If they are, undo the checkout with the Admin Tool.

If the files are not checked out, then delete your client-side cache files to get the correct view of the file status.
