More on VB6 integration.

Post by rizzo » Fri Oct 07, 2005 11:23 am

Now that I got vault to integrate with vb6, I am running into an annoyance. In the Project Explorer, I right-click on the Project node and select Get Latest Version. However, it only gets the latest version for the .VBP file. How can I get it to get the latest version for the entire project?

Thanks

Choose Tools->SourceGear Vault->Get Latest Version... Then you can select which files to get, or click Select All to get all of them.

I know about that, but I was hoping for a fix with no quite so many clicks.

I suspect that Vault can only respond to what VB6 asks it by way of the SCC interface.

It's the same number of steps in all, but I usually key in Alt+T,S,G,Alt+E,Enter. For me, that's faster than clicking.

There's also an option in VB 6 to get the latest version from source control when opening a VB project. The setting is in VB under Tools->SourceGear Vault->Options.

That would save you many clicks. :D
