Return VS source control to VS.SourceSafe from Vault

Post by beanmf » Tue Sep 27, 2005 3:03 pm

My webhost has clobbered my Vault Server installation. I really don't need an offsite Vault anymore and decided to return to SourceSafe. Can anyone help me figure out how to point VisualStudio back at SourceSafe once it is expecting Vault. Every place I look, Vault is glued in and I can't find a way to unglue it.

Sorry. figured it out. Just uninstall Sourcegear Vault Client and SourceSafe picks up where Vault left off automatically. (you have to close Visual Studio first). I loved Vault, so this is not a reflection on it.

beanmf:

One thing to mention. If you're back in house (and your the sole developer), you could always run the free single user version of Vault.

All you would need is your Vault database from WebHost4Life.
